Key Focus: Restarting Worship & Returning to the Building

Target Date to Reopen: Pentecost Sunday, May 31


  • Sanctuary and church will be professionally cleaned prior to beginning services.
    John Mantor has been asked to head a cleaning team to sanitize between/after services.


  • Bethany Davis (Professional Events Planner) has been asked to put our plan together.


  • Worship-only for several weeks.


  • Due to social distancing & limited attendance will require a phone reservation


  • Per Governor Holcomb, those of high risk (ages 65 and up) are asked to stay home and watch the service online

  • 2 Identical Morning Worship Services at 8:30 and 10:30

  • The 10:30 a.m. worship will continue to be live-streamed.

  • Children's services and the nursery will on hold until school resumes in the Fall. Children will sit with parents

  • The doors to church will be propped open to avoid contact with door handles.

  • No bulletins or materials will be distributed.  All announcements made be made on the screen.

  • Greeters and ushers will greet and give directions from 6 feet away but will not touch anyone.

  • South door (Family Center) will be entry, west door (offices) will be exit.

  • Face masks will be recommended and made available at the door.

  • Offering plates will not be passed but offering receptacles will be located on tables at exit door.

  • Rest rooms by offices closed. Family center rest rooms will be open for individual use.


  • Coffee bar to remain closed.


  • Social distancing to be practiced: Households may sit together but others 6-feet apart.


  • To exit, people will be dismissed by rows.
